As I reflect on my younger years as an employee,
I recall how hard I worked and the high level of trust my employers had in me. However, as I became more mature and became involved in senior management duties, I became disenchanted that my only reward was a pat-on-the-head and a paycheck.
I swore that when I became head of an organization that everyone would benefit from their efforts and the organization’s success.
Surf City Coffee Co., Inc. is the fruition of that goal. Today our employees enjoy a living wage, bonuses, profit sharing and stock (equity) ownership. We believe that it takes all of our efforts to achieve greatness and to that end, we all share in the blessings.
